I have extensive experience working with victim/survivors of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence and people using violence, abuse and problematic relationship behaviour. I am non-judgemental, healing-centred and solutions focused. I enjoy supporting people to recognise and strive for healthy, safe and respectful relationships. A strengths-based approach focuses on a person’s unique strengths, resources and positive attributes to support their wellbeing.

+ Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as a certified CPT provider. CPT is an evidence-based intervention for people with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

I have worked with people using violence, abuse and/or problematic relationship behaviour in group and individual capacity for several years. My approach balances accountability and responsibility with acknowledgement of the impacts of their behaviour on themselves, their partners and children. I work collaboratively to identify and restructure the beliefs that are driving behaviour in order to support positive change.
I support victims/survivors of domestic and family violence by providing a safe space for healing and empowerment. I prioritise trauma-informed care, assisting survivors to process their experience and reclaim their narratives. Safety planning is crucial in our work together, and will be led by you.
Sometimes relationships are tricky to navigate and challenges arise. Whether it is your view of conflict or your communication style, exploring strategies to better connect with others and build healthy and strong relationships can support your overall wellbeing.
I am a certified Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) provider. CPT is an evidence-based, structured therapy designed to support people to identify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma. Research has shown CPT to be effective for various traumatic experiences, including for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, domestic and family violence, sexual violence, natural disasters and combat/war.
Whether mild, moderate or severe, depression is more complex than just feeling sad. It impacts every aspect of your life, and manifests as persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, changes in sleep and appetite, and feelings of hopelessness.
Therapy will support you to identify coping mechanisms and explore feelings and thoughts without judgement.
Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes overwhelming, it can interfere with daily life. It may present as excessive worry, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, or physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat. Seeking support for anxiety will give you strategies to manage anxiety in the short and long term.
Personality disorders can significantly impact how individuals think, feel, and relate to others. These disorders often involve patterns of behavior and inner experiences that deviate from cultural expectations, leading to challenges in personal and professional relationships. An experienced professional will provide a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop healthier coping strategies.
If substance use is interfering with your daily life and wellbeing, seeking support will assist you to understand the drivers of your substance use. Addiction is often rooted in deeper emotional and psychological issues, and understanding this can improve your wellbeing while giving you control over your use of substances.
My practice is neuroaffirming, meaning that people with neurological differences (such as ADHD and autism) can expect that their differences will be celebrated and strengths emphasised. Strategies to support optimal functioning will be explored with from this foundation of practice.
I currently offer 50 minute sessions in person in Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast or via video or phone (telehealth) Australia-wide.

Medicare Rebates are available for people with a Mental Health Care Plan, and a referral from a GP. To access this, visit a GP. This may give you eligibility for a Medicare Rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
